Board Member

Lucía Lainez (pronouns are she/her/ella) is a second-generation San Francisco native with roots in Nicaragua. Since 2006, she serves as a Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (English/Spanish) and early Feeding Specialist.  She has dedicated her professional career to holistically support young infants and children with complex feeding and language delays, as well as their caregivers.  As a mother and community healthcare worker, she prioritizes cultural humility, racial equity, and centering voices of under-resourced communities.  She frequently uses outdoor spaces, such as parks, gardens, etc., throughout the San Francisco Bay Area to conduct therapy services, while exposing families to the gems in their own neighborhoods. Lucia hopes to support Dragonspunk’s vision of developing and nurturing open land spaces to serve as a thriving community resource for people living directly within these resilient communities.
